Privacy policy

Version 2026-10-23

Only the German version is legally binding.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this privacy policy is:

mobilfix streit
Owner: Pascal Streit
Bözingenstrasse 159
2504 Biel
Switzerland
Email: info@mobilfix.ch

If you have any questions about data protection or wish to exercise your data protection rights, you can contact us at the email address above.

2. Purpose and scope

This privacy policy explains how mobilfix streit processes personal data when you visit our website, contact us, request a repair, book an appointment, submit photos or information about a device, or use our services.

We process personal data in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

3. Which personal data we process

Depending on how you use our website and services, we process in particular the following categories of data:

  • surname, first name and, where applicable, address;
  • email address and telephone number;
  • information on the preferred way of being contacted;
  • information on the repair request, in particular device type, manufacturer, model, serial number or IMEI where provided by you, description of the fault, preferred location, preferred appointment and other order information;
  • photos and files that you upload or submit in connection with a request or repair;
  • communication content from emails, contact forms, telephone calls or other correspondence;
  • payment and billing information, where required to process an order;
  • technical data when visiting the website, for example IP address, date and time of access, pages visited, browser type, operating system and server log data;
  • data that may arise when using linked or embedded third-party services.

Please do not send us passwords, Apple ID or Google account login details, credit card details or other particularly sensitive information via the website, unless we expressly and securely ask you to do so. Any unlock code required for a diagnosis or repair is only collected to the extent necessary and not via a public website form.

4. Purposes of data processing

We process your personal data in particular for the following purposes:

  • handling contact requests;
  • reviewing, preparing, carrying out and processing repair orders;
  • arranging and managing appointments;
  • communicating with you before, during and after an order;
  • preparing quotes and invoices and processing payments;
  • receiving and assessing photos of damage and files;
  • administration, quality assurance, prevention of misuse and fraud;
  • operation, security and improvement of our website and IT systems;
  • enforcing or defending legal claims and complying with legal obligations.

5. Repair data and access to devices

To carry out a repair, it may be necessary to test a device. mobilfix streit only accesses a device and the data stored on it to the extent required for diagnosis, repair, functional testing or return.

You are responsible for a complete data backup before handing over your device. As far as technically possible, we endeavour to treat data confidentially and to avoid unnecessary access. Data recovery, backup or restoration is only owed if it has been expressly agreed.

6. Recipients and processors

We may pass on personal data to service providers and recipients where this is necessary for the purposes mentioned. These include in particular:

  • our hosting provider Infomaniak, Switzerland, for operating the website and the associated technical infrastructure;
  • Cloudflare, Inc., USA, for bot protection (Turnstile) in the request form and, to the extent the website is delivered via Cloudflare, for network services (for example DNS and protection against abuse);
  • SumUp Payments Limited, United Kingdom, for processing online payments (online shop, deposits and payment links); SumUp processes some payment data as an independent controller in accordance with its own privacy policy;
  • IT, communication or software service providers, insofar as these are used in future for appointment management, operating the request form or secure data processing;
  • suppliers or manufacturers, where this is necessary for procuring, inspecting or processing a spare part;
  • authorities, courts or other bodies, if we are legally obliged to do so or if this is necessary to protect our rights.

We do not sell personal data.

7. Transfer of data abroad

The website is operated at Infomaniak in Switzerland. When Cloudflare is used (see section 6), data such as the IP address and technical information about the device may be processed in the USA or in other countries outside Switzerland. We only transfer personal data abroad insofar as this is legally permissible and the necessary safeguards have been taken (for example an adequacy decision, a data privacy framework or standard contractual clauses). For online payments via SumUp (see section 6), payment data is processed in the United Kingdom and the EEA; Switzerland recognises an adequate level of data protection for these states.

Should we in future use further services in which personal data is processed in or transferred to countries outside Switzerland, this will only take place within the same framework.

With third-party providers such as Google, Meta, Instagram or TikTok, data may be processed outside Switzerland. The specific processing is additionally governed by the privacy notices of the respective provider.

8. Website, server log data and security

When you visit our website, server log data may be processed for technical reasons. This includes in particular the IP address, date and time of access, the page visited, referrer URL, browser and operating system information and comparable technical information.

We use this data in particular to provide the website, to ensure its security, to analyse errors and to ward off abusive access. It is only combined with other personal data where this is necessary for the purposes mentioned.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files that your browser can store on your device. They serve, for example, the technically secure provision of the website, the storage of settings or the improvement of user-friendliness.

Should we in future use cookies that are not technically necessary, or analytics or marketing technologies, we will inform you before they are used via an appropriate consent or cookie banner and, where required, obtain your consent. You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings. This may impair individual functions of the website.

10. Google, reviews and maps

Our website may link to our Google business profile or Google reviews. Should we in future embed Google Maps, Google reviews or other Google services directly in our website, data, in particular your IP address and technical usage data, may be transmitted to Google when this content is loaded.

Where possible, we will only load external content that is not required for the immediate technical operation after you have actively selected it or consented to it. Google's privacy provisions also apply.

11. Social media

Our website may contain links to profiles or content on Instagram, TikTok or other social networks. With simple links, data is generally only transmitted to the respective provider when you click the link.

Should we in future embed social media content directly on our website, data may be transmitted to the respective provider. Where possible, such content is only loaded after your active selection or consent. The privacy notices of the respective social network also apply.

12. Retention period

We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective processing purpose, as we have a legitimate interest in retaining it, or as statutory retention obligations exist.

We retain order, invoice and business data within the scope of the applicable statutory retention obligations. We generally delete or anonymise data from requests without an order as soon as it is no longer required, unless statutory obligations or overriding interests require longer retention.

13. Your rights

Within the framework of applicable data protection law, you may in particular request information as to whether and which personal data we process about you. Where the statutory requirements are met, you may also request the correction of inaccurate data, the deletion of data or the release or transfer of certain data.

To exercise your rights, please contact us by email at info@mobilfix.ch. We may request suitable proof of identity so that we can process your request securely.

14. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, complete security of data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We may amend this privacy policy at any time if our data processing, legal requirements or the functions of our website change. The version published on our website applies.
